This was a wonderful way to end my writing year: a tribute essay for the late, great Stephen Sondheim, and the unmatched impact he’s had on how I look at the world. May his memory be a blessing, forever ❤️
"Watching West Side Story, I encountered for the first time a quality I've come to look for in great musical theatre: the distillation of complex emotion into song."
@clemcssco_ reflects on late musical theatre legend Stephen Sondheim.

Making my reappearance on here for a #journorequest! Have you ever been written about in a personal essay/column by a friend, family member, or romantic partner? If this is you, I'd love to speak to you on how the experience made you feel. For a masters project x
Taylor was kinda misogynistic and mean to girls dating her ex when she was 18 and so were many of us! Acting like artists have to present as morally correct not only now but at all stages of their career is so weird and limiting
@rooftoptilda I think her improved vocals are on show even more than in fearless and red (esp on the big power ballads like back to December and haunted) but as a result emotional expression is compromised
