@PolitiBunny Using relative references is a classic math/statistics con artist tactic. If you start with $10 and triple it you made $20. If you start with 3 billion and triple it, you made $6B. You're a fool if you think those are equivalent because of the same multiplier.
NEW: President Trump orders an immediate halt to all U.S. trade and official visits with Spain, blasting the European nation as a "hopeless" and "terrible" partner in NATO.
Trump directed officials to cut ties instantly without further negotiation, predicting the sudden economic freeze will force the country to come "running back" to the United States.
"Spain is a wasted cause. We don't want to do any trade business with Spain anymore, by the way.”
“Spain is a terrible partner in NATO. They don't participate, they don't pay. I don't want anything to do with Spain. Cut off all trade with Spain.”
@elonmusk@spencerpratt Constitution doesn't agree with you. So you must not love the constitution. But wait... that must mean you don't love America. Wait that's not right. Lemme think this through and start over...
Shoot I keep coming up with the same result...
BREAKING: President Trump vows to eradicate what he calls a "horrible thread of cancer" quietly moving through the nation, issuing a stark warning against the rise of communism in America.
"We have a country that's just the hottest. It just is so hot and I'm working really hard to make it even better. We're going to get rid of some of the flaws. We're going to make it even better."
"But the biggest thing we have to do is we have to stop this, this horrible thread of cancer that's permeating our country called communism."
@PattonAmy@SkylarSkye3@G_ram3000 That's not the law at all. In southern CA jaywalking is illegal everywhere. You can always get a ticket. However if there is ever a conflict with a car, the jaywalker is considered to have right of way just so the car stops and doesn't kill them (except on freeways).
@elsathora In CA you can't build on the coast without Coastal Commission permission - rarely given. Private beaches are illegal. If you own Beach land there must be public access. Commission shuts down polluters. Big Sur is reserved for wildlife. Trump would love a Big Sur Hotel. Nope
@elsathora@lldovey The Pacific Coast highway was built 100 years ago and it was known to be one of the biggest engineering challenges at the time to make a road so close to the coast. But they did it because they knew it would bring joy to generations... Not for transportation really... For joy.
@harleycharley2@SenWarren What are these numbers? If it's their net worth at this point in their lives, that's not very much in 2026. A modest single family home in southern California that is paid off is worth this much.
@JN07435970@Kasparov63 You've never needed to show ID to vote. You've become aware of how it's always worked, and you're immediately incensed. Why not ask for evidence that it's really a problem. No, you do the doublethink reflex right out of 1984. Big Brother told you to be angry so you're angry.
@Sneha_TechAI@Citi@SpaceX Probably will be a new model. No reason it shouldn't be. One more manifestation of capital mobility, which most people see as a good thing for global economy (of not for walled-garden economies)
@tridentxhodler@Citi@SpaceX All IPOs are underwritten by banks. Then they sell the shares they underwrite to the public. That's how it works. It's not a sign of anything different except that they are opening sales to other countries markets.
@dccommonsense There are 10 million registered Dems in CA and 5 million Rs. About 5 million No Party (NPP), which lean heavily democratic (legacy of Dems always allowing NPP to vote in their primary while Rs did not).
You don't need to rig CA elections for Dems to win them. It's a dumb claim
