Safe travels and happy weekend, Uganda. @KiiraMotors@ebusxpress@mtnmomoug
@ntvuganda We still have trigger happy people out there tarnishing the name of the well intended program. That was not an appropriate response to some stubborn people.
This is a heartbreaking loss that's hard for the mother, the Batooro, and Uganda as a whole to discern. My deepest condolences to the bereaved family, the Kingdom of Tooro, and all those mourning this painful loss. May they find strength and comfort during this difficult time. 🕊️
His father died on 26 August 1995. King Oyo died on 27 August 2026. Thirty-one years and one day. People are calling it coincidence or something bigger. I don’t know what to call it. I just know his mother lived through both of those days.
She buried her husband and then watched them put a crown on a three-year-old who was still playing. Tonight she has buried that same child, now a man of 34, almost on the same calendar page.
They say he left a Prince. Another small boy whose name we do not know yet. I keep wondering how the Queen looks at the calendar and at that child at the same time.
The official pages will tell us the rest when the family is ready. Tonight I am just sitting with how the years lined up and how much one woman has had to carry between those two Augusts.
@observerug This guy’s a prophet of doom. How do you take pride to announce people’s death. This is commonly done by the next of kin. I saw recently how people were itchy and eager to be among the first to announce the death of — RIP Moses Ali when he was still alive and in hospital
@mtnmomoug I like Osmosis. He has been away for a while, and we really missed him. Now he’s back, putting smiles on our faces once again. 😊
Welcome back, Osmosis! Thank you, MoMo, for bringing him back! 👏😂
Future you has plans, too.
More time with family. More freedom to enjoy life. More opportunities to do the things you love.

Gen. Katumba’s words are more than a retirement statement, they are a powerful reflection on a lifetime of service, sacrifice, friendship and patriotism. “My love for Uganda will never retire” is a line that captures the true meaning of public service.
For 47 years, I served my country.
Through war and peace, triumph and loss, I presented myself for duty. I wore the uniform with pride, knowing that behind it was the trust of millions of Ugandans.
Along the way, I lost brothers. I made lifelong friends. I witnessed Uganda change, struggle, and rise. I carry every memory with me.
I retire with a heart full of gratitude.
To the men and women with whom I served, thank you.
To the fallen, I will never forget you.
To my family, thank you for sharing me with the nation.
And to Uganda, thank you for giving me the honour of serving you.
My love for Uganda will never retire.
One final salute.
For God and My Country.
@Reuters We pray for his swift recovery and ask God to forgive him and relieve him of his suffering.
Let us also be reminded to treat humanity with kindness, for ultimately, we return to the One who created us.
If we also start chasing South Africans who are here in Uganda, that is exactly what the enemies of Africa want. - President @KagutaMuseveni#NBSUpdates
I am so proud of my partner, @kizzabesigye1.
After months of unlawful detention, he stands in court with dignity, clarity and unwavering principle. He insists on his constitutional right to counsel of his own choosing. He even refuses to burden Ugandan taxpayers with paying for lawyers he does not seek, at a time when so many families are struggling to put food on the table.
This is the courage and integrity I know. This is Kizza Besigye.
