The killing of Alex Pretti is a heartbreaking tragedy. It should also be a wake-up call to every American, regardless of party, that many of our core values as a nation are increasingly under assault.
If Kamala Harris won:
-There would be no war with Venezuela.
-No war with NATO.
-No war with American blue states.
-No $1 trillion for Greenland.
-No $2 billion for Argentina.
-Everyone ICE murdered would be alive.
-Everyone ICE wrongly imprisoned would be free.
-The deficit wouldn't be tripled.
-The economy and jobs wouldn't be cratering.
-She wouldn't be golfing every weekend.
-She wouldn't sleep in every meeting.
-She wouldn't post drivel 200 times a day.
-No talk of canceling elections. Ever.
-Time wouldn't be wasted on ballrooms, Jimmy Kimmel, UFC, and renaming every building.
-No begging for the Nobel Peace Prize.
-No selling us crypto, fragrance, and watches.
-No taking airplane bribes from Qatar.
-Reporters would never be called piggies.
-The world would respect us.
-We would respect us.
-America's biggest enemy would not be the White House.
This is deranged.
You are threatening to impose tariffs on NATO allies, countries whose soldiers have fought and died alongside Americans, in order to coerce them into forcing Denmark to sell territory that is not for sale. Territory with people who do not want to be sold. This is not negotiation. It is extortion dressed up as strategy.
Calling this a "subsidy" is nonsense. Not charging a tariff is not a subsidy.
"Two dogsleds." Denmark is a NATO ally. Greenland is covered by Article 5. Its security is not provided by dogsleds; it is provided by the collective defense of the Western alliance, including the country you claim to lead. Mocking that alliance while invoking its protection is incoherent.
"Only the United States of America, under PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP, can play in this game." There it is. Not America. America under you. The nation reduced to a personal instrument. Allies reduced to vassals. Sovereignty reduced to permission. Greenland's people do not matter. Denmark's rights do not matter. There is only what Trump wants and everyone else's obligation to comply.
"World peace is at stake." Yes. Because you are threatening it. Denmark is not menacing anyone. NATO allies visiting Greenland are not destabilizing the world. A U.S. president issuing ultimatums to allies and demanding territorial tribute is.
"Angles, metes, and bounds." This is gibberish. Surveyor jargon thrown in to sound technical. The so-called Golden Dome does not require acquiring Greenland. The United States already operates Pituffik Space Base there. If cooperation were the goal, it already exists.
This is madness with a signature line. A president of the United States openly threatening allied democracies with economic warfare to force a land grab that no one is offering. It reads less like foreign policy than a ransom note written by someone who learned geopolitics from Monopoly.
Greenland is not for sale. The people who live there are not for sale. Repeating "complete and total purchase" does not make it legal, plausible, or sane.
You want to be taken seriously? You are. That's the problem.
ppl rarely understand that scaled internet systems maximize liquidity while externalizing emotional cost. thatâs the sleight of hand.
lots of peeps make the argument that âeverything is a numbers gameâ but this framing assumes retries are free. theyâre not. every interaction has a psychic toll & emotions are definitively *not* zero marginal cost.
abundance thinking works for compute, ads, & inventory. it fails spectacularly for intimacy, trust, & self worth. optionality goes up. meaning goes down. roughly everything on the internet eventually turns into a signal vs. noise issue.
