This year our housing association has let the common land go unmowed. The bare earth is molehills, the diversity of flowers is natural airborne overspill from our garden. It's so much better than scorched grass ππ
@stickmancrips@draevans I wear a life ID silicone wristband - not just because I do sporting activities alone but also in case I become overwhelmed when out. It has a QR code that links to all my basic info and what I might need. Thankfully not needed yet.
@m_chiles I am so sorry. But I have been there. You reach out for help and get put on a 3 month waiting list (minimum)..... And you get to the stage where you feel your absence is better than your presence and you can't reach out. My body outlasted my mind in the end. Surprisingly.
Apart from the hay fever, the constant sweat, the sunburn, the lack of sleep, the wasps, the bug bites, the baking hot car, the 3am sunrise, the non-stop disco from next doorβs garden, the yellow lawn, the heat rash, the absence of air con and the complete lack of energyβ¦ Iβm actually a big fan of Summer.
Asking for adjustments in a current job is like a police caution... "You do not have to say anything. But, it may harm your defence if you do not mention when questioned something which you later rely on in court. Anything you do say may be given in evidence.β #ActuallyAutistic
@HumanbeingAwk I can do this but I wouldn't call it imagination. It's memory. If you're hypersensitive, experiences will be so intense you can recreate them without physical stimulus.
@TheBlowfish Agreed. It's not hard to keep them in overnight. Our two are officially house cats but go out on leads... It's called thinking about consequences ππ
