@CFlanders7 Awesome interview, thanks a ton!
Quick question progressive exposure (if u dont mind) - If you reach the max monthly drawdown point do you just stop trading for the rest of the month and wait for the next month (which will have a lower allowed drawdown), or what do you do? Thx!
@mwebster1971@mwebster1971 This was awesome and so clear! Would love if you could do one for swing trading specifically ๐ Thanks for all you do! ๐๐ป
On Wednesday at 8:30AM/ET the CPI number for July will be released.ย Powell made it clear that a cut at the September meeting โwas on the table" and maintains that the central bank is data driven, so this number should carry a lot of weight.
There is no FOMC meeting scheduled for August with the next session scheduled for September 17/18.ย There will be other major numbers between now and the meeting date. The CPI data due this week will be an important number to watch and could serve as a catalyst for a return of volatility.
Long term data reveals many big spikes in intraday volatility (like the one we just experienced) are often temporary shakeouts, and after a few weeks of back-and-forth action, the previous uptrend resumes. But recent history has been less supportive of the longer term data. Twice as often, increased volatility after a long period of low volatility was the start of a more difficult stretch.

@TaPlot@TaPlot how do you make those small horizontal lines to indicate the level you took a position in TradingView? I have tried looking for it everywhere and the closest I can find is the icon but that doesnโt scale properly when zooming in/out the chart.
Hoping for some guidance ๐๐ป
@TaPlot@TaPlot I love your RS indicator in TradingView, but was wondering how you get (what I believe is) the S&P/SPY plotted behind it and with a transparency? Thanks a lot!
@RichardMoglen Why you choose to use TC2000 vs TradingView vs MarketSmith (and not for instance TrendSpider), and what specifically you use each one for - ie how to make best use of multiple platforms
