@RSDCDN Recommend a NAS running Unraid with a Nextcloud container. I personally use TrueNAS but it’s a more complicated setup - Unraid is better for quick setup and is more beginner-friendly.

@KytorIndustries Most of the OSCRs available on AliExpress aren’t even built properly, using the wrong cartridge slot for N64, etc. A lot of them are also using a modified version of the PCBs so it’s not possible to fix them since the faulty design is baked-in.

@Voultar I had to help a friend with this recently. No other firmware would work past the latest 2.x version (don’t use the “recovery” firmware, just use the latest 2.x file). Also needed to remove the top shell and keep the laptop within 1 foot of the N64 to keep a good enough signal

@MegaBitesCasey From what I hear, if you aren't in any rush, it might be worth waiting for the MARS project to come out with their "successor" to the MiSTer. Lots of MiSTer devs are jumping on board to develop and port to the higher-end hardware.

@Ph47K47 @Voultar I got this exact unit and it worked well for awhile, until one day the temp display said ERR instead of 350 and the tip of the iron was glowing red hot. Pulled the power on it and chucked it in the garbage immediately. This thing will burn down your house.
