All States and international organizations, including the @UN, have obligations under international law to bring to an end #Israel’s unlawful presence in the Occupied #Palestinian Territory, according to a UN independent international commission of inquiry https://t.co/0doK6GubHd
In Gaza, the collective shame of the century continues unabated and unstopped, in defiance of every norm of international law and morale. The Palestinians, exhausted by relentless attacks on their bodies and souls are abandoned to their tormentors. Shocking images of summary executions, mass forced displacements, and other egregious abuses strike us, leaving us stunned and bewildered, unable to comprehend that what is happening in Gaza is truly real. What a disgraceful testament to our global failure to protect basic human rights . The United Nations, once a believed beacon of hope and a force for peace, are crumbling under the weight of this shame - and the pressure of the inaction or complicity of its most powerful member states.
Fantastic to have such a huge turnout in Shannon today, demanding an end to the support for genocide. The Irish government has to listen. It's gone on too long. #USMilitaryOutOfShannon NOW
I am horrified by yet another senseless massacre of Palestinian civilians by Israel: 71 killed and nearly 300 wounded in a zone where Israel itself had told them to seek refuge. The justification is always the same: "targeting Palestinian militants". When is the world going to stop this death machine??

So I can fact-check his claim of "crime being at an all-time high".
Recorded crime, Drogheda Garda Station:

Crime going down in Drogheda, not up.
He's talking shite.
Powerful words by 102 years old philosopher Edgar Morin, one of France's most revered intellectual figures, as well as a Jewish WW2 resistant who fought as a lieutenant in De Gaulle's France combattante.

Here are his words on Gaza: "I am both astonished and outraged by the fact that those who represent the descendants of a people who were persecuted for centuries for religious or racial reasons... That the descendants of this people who are today the decision-makers of the State of Israel, that they could not only colonize an entire people, partly drive them out of their land and seek to expel them for good... But also, after the massacre of October 7, engaged in a real massive slaughter on the populations of Gaza and continue, incessantly, hitting civilians, women, and children.
And to see the silence of the world, the silence of the United States, protectors of Israel, the silence of the Arab states, the silence of the European states who claim to be defenders of culture, humanity, human rights.
I think we are living through a horrible tragedy because we are also powerless in the face of this thing that is unleashing. At least, I say: bear witness! The only thing that remains if we cannot resist concretely is to testify. Let's resist in our minds, let's not be fooled, let's not forget, let's have the courage to face things head-on."
.@POTUS the Irish people are calling on you to take action. Listen to your roots. You have a special responsibility. This holiday season, we urge you to act with humanity and call for an immediate #CeasefireNOW in Gaza and Israel. Thank you Nicola Coughlan, Mary Black, @siobhni
#UNGA voted #ceasefire. Soon after, Israel cut off internet &,quite literally, turned off the light in Gaza while intensifying bombings. 7,500 Pal killed, 1,000s+ under the rubble.
The enormity of these crimes is matched only by the moral failings of those who are enabling them.
“Israel’s 24-hour notice that people in Northern Gaza must leave their land, homes and hospitals is outrageous – this represents an attack on medical care and on humanity.
We have consistently seen dehumanising language and this violence is a manifestation of that.
