@Bootboy1973@bestofStarTrek It also didn't help that Paramount rushed the SFX for the film by making the contractor do 6 months of work in 3.
In other words, the effects contractor isn't totally at fault.
It suffered from the same issue that TMP did in that both were unnecessarily rushed to the theaters
Part of why the SFX for Trek 5 was so bad was because it was rushed, the SFX contractor was expected to do 6 months of SFX work in 3, which meant corners had to be cut.
@bestofStarTrek It was the 1st Trek film I spent my own money to see as a 14 year old in the summer of 1989.
In retrospect,I should've asked for a refund.
@Silversmeasures I'm glad Silver stayed bad because I can't see him as a good guy
Plus we got the chance to see Kreese in a very interesting way.
Not totally good, but not totally bad either.
Kreese was an anti-hero.
@bourne0513@bestofStarTrek The Enterprise cast loved In A Mirror,Darkly because it allowed them to really stretch themselves and go outside their established characters.
Plus, Jolene loved not having to wear the wig in those episodes.
@bestofStarTrek A great sendoff for the TOS crew.
It's why George and Nichelle refused to be part of Generations because,it was their understanding that Trek 6 was the final one.
