Lamentamos que, tal como advertimos en nuestro Informe Anual, la situación en Venezuela pareciera estar derivando en una atípica tecnocracia autoritaria, en la que las autoridades interinas -tuteladas por la administración Trump-, se empeñan en satisfacer los intereses de los capitales transnacionales y en continuar desconociendo los derechos ciudadanos.

Mientras se vislumbran posibles nuevos acuerdos en materia energética, trabajadores activos y jubilados siguen reclamando en las calles salarios y pensiones dignas, que se mantienen congeladas desde 2022.

👉El salario y las prestaciones sociales han desaparecido del lenguaje oficial pese a las promesas de crecimiento económico.

También, los escasos y ya precarios programas sociales del gobierno, están lentamente desapareciendo de la narrativa oficial.

👉Cientos de personas continúan privadas de libertad por razones políticas, pese a los anuncios de reconciliación voceados por altos funcionarios del Estado.

Además, el entramado jurídico que propició la criminalización y judicialización de miles de venezolanos sigue intacto y el Sistema de Administración de Justicia continúa operando como instrumento para la persecución de la disidencia política y social.

👉 Las reformas de la Ley de Hidrocarburos y la Ley de Minas, se aprobaron desconociendo los derechos a la consulta previa, libre e informada con los pueblos indígenas, y los nuevos desarrollos extractivos se están realizando sin los debidos estudios de impacto ambiental.

Con ello, se continúan agravando los conflictos socio-ambientales y el impacto de la emergencia climática en el país, afectando principalmente a los pueblos y comunidades indígenas del sur del país, a los principales reservorios de agua y a todo el bioma de la Orinoquia y Amazonía venezolanas.

Adicionalmente, estos territorios, disputados por gobernanzas criminales, son escenario de violencia, desplazamientos forzosos, asesinatos y otros abusos cometidos por grupos irregulares como las disidencias de las FARC y el ELN, quienes actúan impunemente, muchas veces con la complicidad de agentes estatales, desde hace años.

En Aragua, Carabobo y Zulia, por ejemplo, las interrupciones del servicio eléctrico se prolongan por hasta 6 horas diarias.

En Sucre, los habitantes de Cumaná siguen sufriendo la escasez de agua tras el colapso del embalse Turimiquire desde hace 5 meses.

👉 Insistimos en que la solución a la crisis del país solo será posible si se adoptan las medidas necesarias que coadyuven a la superación de la profunda emergencia económica, manteniendo el centro en la realización de las conquistas sociales, la preservación del medio ambiente frente a los efectos del cambio climático, la democracia y la justicia social y ambiental.

Provea reitera que ningún proceso de liberalización económica, sin libertades democráticas, participación ciudadana y transparencia, puede ser cónsono con principios básicos de Derechos Humanos.

Look at the code WIRED pulled from Flock’s own servers. Flock built an AI tool called OS Investigate.🚨👀

It accesses "commercial databases that contain Social Security numbers, dates of birth, phone numbers, email addresses, relatives and associates." It also accesses "police case files, 911 dispatch logs, and commercial identity records." The prompts can generate dossiers ("workups") on people based purely on driving patterns, without a crime, a plate, or a name. It Can identify drivers, track patterns, find "witnesses," generate suspicion based on behavior without a target. Code was found publicly on Flock's website. 🚨

Flock is performing automated, suspicionless background checks (pulling SSNs, DOBs, relatives) using commercial databases on citizens who have committed no crime, have no warrant, and are not named in any case file. The trigger is purely an AI algorithm flagging their driving pattern.

NO officer initiates the search for the suspect, Flock's AI essentially acting as the investigator, but doing so through commercial data brokers. Flock pulls consumer reports without a permissible purpose.

Why did Flock build OS Investigate? Because selling LPR cameras is a hardware game with limits. Selling an "AI investigator" is a high-margin SaaS play. To justify the valuation ($1B+), they need to monopolize the investigative workflow. To do that, they fused LPR data (which they hold) with police records (CJI) and commercial data (SSNs). ⚠️

Why are they doing this? Because Flock’s hardware is a commodity. The cameras are just metal on a pole. The real valuation the nearly $1 billion in venture capital is in their proprietary datasets. To justify that valuation, they have to build a total surveillance map of America that links physical movement to full digital and financial identities. They cannot legally buy that data on the open market because of the FCRA. So they built an AI to force the police to pull it for them. Flock gets the fused data, the police get the dossier, and Flock gets to declare the new AI-generated identity maps as "Flock Property" under their contracts.

Flock is using the police as a legal shield to run unauthorized mass identity resolution queries for their own proprietary training and profit. The "perpetual license" terms gives Flock ownership of these AI-generated dossiers. They are building a national private surveillance database of SSNs linked to movement patterns, bypassing the FCRA by routing the queries through police terminals.🚨

Now look at their new August 2026 "Trust" updates. They announced a reduction in data retention to 7 days, but they created an exception called "Evidence Mode" where searched data is preserved instead of aging out. 🚨

Here is the trap. If they actually deleted data in 7 days, their AI prompts which ask for people "arrested more than twice in two years" would not function.🚨

The AI needs a multi-year historical window to track patterns. "Evidence Mode" is the backdoor they built to force all searched data into permanent retention so their AI can keep running. The 7-day retention is theater for the city councils. The permanent retention is the actual product.🚨

And the Audit Assistance" they say is to catch police misuse? It is a complete deception. The audit logs track the police officer. But the AI generates the lead before the officer interacts with the system. The AI does the suspicionless searching in the backend. The officer just clicks the prewritten prompt. The audit log captures the officer clicking a button, but it does not capture the unauthorized API calls Flock’s AI is making to the commercial databases to pull the SSNs. They built the logging system to cover their own corporate trail.🚨

Trump has no strategy or depth. He has cravings. And two of the cornerstone cravings for Trump, especially now that he's playing out his final chapter on Earth, are greed and grandiosity. These two things, which interrelate, underly almost everything - he is a giant id.
He wants awards, he wants things named after him, he wants oil from this country and a piece of this company and $10B here and billions more there, and all of that is but a subset of what he really wants, which is the knowledge, belief, and portrayal that he can do whatever the f*ck he wants - the ultimate grandiosity.
The legacy media always tries to understand Trump's stubborn fixations by normalizing him and asking: "What's he thinking?" Allow me AGAIN: Trump doesn't think; HE FEELS. He lusts. He craves.
And he likes how tariffs make him feel, because he can be a bully, impose his will, make and remove threats, and cause countries to do his bidding and pay him tribute arbitrarily. THEY FUEL HIS GRANDIOSITY.
How much more American consumers, businesses, and importers pay, is immaterial. None of that matters to Trump. Prices don't matter. Inflation doesn't matter. People don't matter. America doesn't matter.
Bullying, imposing his will, being the center of attention, and threatening others, is the essence of what a malignant narcissist does. Carney knows that and realizes that this is where America is at present.

The Great Inversion: AI Is Quietly Draining the Public Internet of Thought

Something profound is happening to the Internet, and almost no one is naming it clearly.

I have been cataloging it of the last 4 years.

For decades, the web’s most valuable resource wasn’t bandwidth or servers. It was the messy, public give-and-take of human questions and answers.

I was a Top Writer on Quora for nearly a decade as well as a massive pre-crazy Wikipedia contributor — I lived in the space of that give and take.

Someone would hit a wall, open a forum, type out the problem, and a conversation would form. Ideas were stress-tested in the open. Nuance appeared. Dead ends were marked. Better questions got refined in real time. That entire process — the friction, the disagreement, the collective thinking — was left behind as searchable, linkable, durable public knowledge.

That flow has reversed.

The same questions, the same moments of curiosity or confusion, are now more routed into private AI interfaces. A person opens a chat window, types the prompt, receives the output, and the entire exchange vanishes into a closed ecosystem.

The assumption we must make (because it is true) is that the AI company stores both the prompt and the response. The thinking that once would have become part of the shared human record is instead locked inside a corporate training silo.

This is not a minor shift in user behavior. It is an inversion of the Internet’s original knowledge architecture.

Public discourse is being systematically stripped of its higher-signal material. As the internet’s data gets more and more noisy in a very really way it is growing quiet.

The questions that used to generate the richest threads the ones that forced people to clarify assumptions, admit uncertainty, or synthesize across domains are the ones most efficiently answered by AI. What remains on the open web is increasingly the residual: lower-effort posts, performative arguments, recycled takes, and the questions that still feel too social or too ambiguous for a model.

AI then trains on that thinning residue, while the better thinking is captured privately and never returns to the commons.

The result is a strange feedback loop. The public Internet becomes less thoughtful precisely because the thoughtful interactions have been privatized. And the models, trained more and more on what is left behind, risk becoming increasingly fluent in the lesser exchanges that now dominate the surface.

This is not the usual complaint about “AI is making people dumber” or “forums are dying.” Those are symptoms. The deeper phenomenon is structural: the migration of human cognitive surplus from a public knowledge commons into private, non-reciprocal data reservoirs.

The Internet is no longer primarily a place where thinking is externalized and shared. It is becoming a place where thinking is extracted and contained.

The novelty of this observation is that it reframes the problem away from content moderation, engagement algorithms, or even AI capability. The core issue is architectural. We have inverted the direction of knowledge flow. What once leaked outward into a shared substrate now drains inward into silos that do not, by default, give back.

The long-term consequences are massive under-discussed as not noticed.

How does a civilization maintain a high-quality public epistemic environment when its best questions are no longer asked in public? What happens to the training data of future models when the richest human reasoning is locked behind commercial walls? And what cultural muscles atrophy when the habit of thinking out loud, in front of others, becomes rarer?

This is the silent inversion of the Internet. The data once destined for the commons is now shunted into AI. The thoughtful exchanges are disappearing from the surface, and the models are learning from what remains.

That is the novel dynamic. Everything else is downstream of it.

Here is a thought experiment that several analysts keep returning to: if a president actually wanted to dismantle American superpower status, what would he be doing differently from what Trump is doing right now?

Consider the record. He has feuded with NATO and cast doubt on the alliance guarantee that anchored Western security for 70 years. He has slapped tariffs on the EU and individual European allies, and this week launched a 50 percent trade war against Canada, America's closest partner.

He has pressured South Korea and Japan over troop costs while courting their adversaries.

Gulf states, battered by the Iran war, now question the American security umbrella so openly that Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan just signed their own mutual defence pact.

Sanctions and Hormuz chaos are pushing oil trade toward the yuan, eroding the dollar's reserve role while national debt passes 40 trillion. And through it all, he speaks warmly of Putin and Kim Jong Un while insulting the billion people living under allied flags.

Superpower status rests on three pillars: alliances, the dollar, and credibility. All three are being sawed at simultaneously.

So what explains it?

Option A: sheer ignorance, a government that simply does not understand how the world works.

Option B: revenge, a man settling scores with an establishment he believes wronged him.

Option C: outside pressure, someone else's interests being served.

None of these options is comforting. And the pattern remains the same whichever one you pick.
