@SamQuinnCBS Also, I’m not saying the Knicks will win the championship, but I don’t know how you can watch the way they are playing and definitively say they won’t even be competitive in the finals.
@botosnipa@RedNinetyFour Yes. I’m not saying we shouldn’t consider running it back, but people are talking about FVV and Adams back as if that wasn’t exactly what we had to start this season and then ended up with neither of them or KD for the playoffs.
@LEXthePEX@SamQuinnCBS If we do this, 100% agree that Ime has to go. Based on their age and injury history, the chances of FVV, Adams, and Durant all being healthy for the whole season and playoffs is low. Gotta get someone who can maximize this young core if/when those guys are out.
@DQuinn1575@BobMaistros@BenAxelrod If that’s the best 16. If the 2 best teams are from the same conference, there’s no reason we shouldn’t have the opportunity to see them face off in the finals.
@martasvilla@BiasedHouston I think Amen showed last year he can be something special. But to your first point, making him play point guard and not running an offense to his strengths did not set him up for success.
@JordanPushedOff@SamQuinnCBS I mean, he clearly said the RING holds all the weight. So you’re asking about a situation that isn’t relevant to his argument.
@mocoatty22@ClintStoerner Yes. If he develops a jumper he has all star potential. But even without it, once FVV is back and Thompson can go back to the type of role he had last year, he can easily be a third best option.
@bansky He’s right except for when it comes to the borderline play in teams doing it. it is objectively a BAD fan experience when you have star players who can play but they get shut down for the rest of the season to avoid the play in and have a chance in the lottery.
@dgomez724@yashar Maybe it’s not real life but I feel like it’s a trope in every cop show/movie that they hate when the feds come in because they want the credit for solving the case 🤷🏻♂️
@mburland@RussellFridley@BarstoolNate@SamQuinnCBS Ahh yes. No fans saw LeBron in Cleveland. No fans see Giannis in Milwaukee. No fans see Wemby in San Antonio. No one had heard of Kevin Durant until he went to Golden State. The first time we saw Kawhi was when he went to LA.
@BiasedHouston A lot of players won’t even contest a dunk in an actual game because they don’t want to be all over social media getting posterized. There’s no way they are going to agree to getting cooked 1v1 more something meaningless.
@themoviedadsc Every sport has effort increase in the playoffs. But it feels so much more noticeable in the NBA. I get that, especially in an 82 game season, you’re never going to get playoff effort throughout the whole season. But the difference shouldn’t be as drastic as it currently is.
@JoshEberley They would also have to find a way to police cap circumvention. Can’t have the big market teams getting players hooked up with huge sponsorship deals in their cities to work around hard cap.
