excited that this project hit 1,000 distinct receipts scanned a few weeks ago. That’s 1,000 meals with friends, trips to the grocery store, etc. Pretty awesome!
In the time since, I’ve upgraded the models and post processing, added auto currency detection and conversion, and added “who’s paid” tracing (in addition to some other small quality of life improvements)
@itsandrewgao In my experience with https://t.co/CyalaEYZSt, specialized models work much better for this use case than multimodal LLMs but the LLMs understand pricing context better (ie knowing a banana is $.50, not $50)
