Beautiful. We often use this for beliefs. Everytime you hear a belief that is different from yours. Younjave a choice. To continue holding on to your existing beliefs. Or to take the new belief, sit it with it, and then decide whether you want to throw it or keep it!
It's time to take the compliment sandwich off the menu. Sticking criticism between two slices of praise is disingenuous and ineffective.
A better approach is care and coach. Explain that you're committed to their growth, and ask if they're interested in your suggestions.
