@CoachBeede I always hated distributing the mass letters that got sent to the school for all sports but had to. We’d always laugh about the students mixed in that weren’t even playing the sport anymore. 😂

@CoachDHernandez @chriscfore I think it’s unfortunate that we will see the end of the “legend” coaching careers. Coaches in one place for 20-30 years will be incredibly hard to find after the current ones retire.

@CoachDHernandez @chriscfore The problem is that parents and new admin are largely chasing short term trophies like the pros. The GREAT programs in all sports have had sustained success. Not trophies every year, competitiveness every year. Decades not years. Intangibles. Character. Work ethic, LOYALTY.

@chriscfore Part of this particular data is more driven by school-of-choice and privates IMO. But that asks an equally important question about the effectiveness of LEA’s and the state dashboard. DUSD enrollment is UP!

Help change the focus to the 1000’s of coaches building great humans (not Ws)and maybe people will stop chasing rings. You can play a part.
