“You look each other in the eye and tell each other the truth. People do not talk to each other hard enough. Especially parents. Parents overall are not as tough on their kids as they should be and don’t allow people to be tough. Teachers, coaches. You hold people accountable and tell them the truth,” Coach Krzyewski

If you are in high school and your parents have to beg you to workout you not ready for College.
College coaches not going to beg you to do anything , they will just replace you !!!
PLAYERS: When coaches, teachers, or parents push you or hold you to high standards, it is normally because they want you to be better. They want you to reach your potential. They want you to achieve your goals. Be coachable and appreciate the ways they might be able to help you!!
Don’t know Elijah Thomas of @WallaceSelect but know I am a HUGE fan!
After the last game of the day at this tournament, he took the time to clean their bench. Picked up all the trash.
Leaving the place better than he found it.

COACHES: John Wooden didn't win a National Championship until his 16th year at UCLA. Don't give up. Don't get frustrated. Have a positive vision and stay focused on it. Stay committed to the process. Stay the course. Continue to be a positive leader.
Dear Parents, prepare your kids for the journey, don’t try to prepare the journey for the kids. We’re so busy trying to give these kids what we “didn’t “ have, that we forget to give them what we “did” have...
“It’s not what we do, but how we do it that separates us from the rest of the country.”

Everyone runs sprints.
Everyone lifts weights.
Everyone does the same drills.
It’s not about what you do, it’s about how you do it. Do everything with excellence.
Freshman year I didn’t play. I hated my coach. I wanted to transfer! Then I realized I sucked, I had a bad attitude, & I was a terrible teammate.
Ultimately, I didn’t transfer. Instead I chose to change.
Sometimes it’s the coach - sometimes it’s the man in the mirror.
