You cannot fake being a GREAT teammate…Syd picked up 2 quick fouls in the 1st quarter. This is her standing supporting her team on the floor. By the cheer of the crowd during player introductions, she has made a massive impact on this campus!!
@sydney_parrish@MMakalusky Congratulations to Maya!! I had the pleasure of coaching both these outstanding ladies!! If Maya continues to follow in Syd’s footsteps, she will have a very rewarding career!! #CLASSY

“When you start reading about yourself and believing your own press clippings is when you start to fall . . . When you’re not hungry, you become average.” (Kirby Smart)
“Champions don’t show up to get everything they want.
They show up to give everything they have.” Alexander Den Heiger
All teams want to success.
But only championship teams are willing to do what success requires.
It’s not enough to want success.
Be willing to earn success.

•It takes grit.
•It takes toughness.
•It takes persistence.

Former Lady Royals Paige Smith, Kelsey Lamb, Sage Sullivan, Kara Dather and Courtney Osborn hanging out in California. HSE Basketball made them lifelong friends. Sports can be, should about more than competition!! #proudcoach
There is nothing wrong with a coach telling an athlete what they are doing wrong. But if you are going to do this, then it is imperative to let them know when they are doing something well!
Someone patting you on the back after a subpar performance(s) is not a vote of confidence, that is encouragement. Confidence is attained through hours of preparation. Coaches are not in charge of a player’s confidence, the athlete is.
