@stewartflaherty Not everyone will be able to have the same experience and I think unfortunately that’s the reality and something we as coaches have to sit with… a sub 100% satisfaction rate.
@stewartflaherty I agree to the extent that I hope to make the majority of players feel this way. Do you think it’s possible for all of a coaches players to feel this way? Unfortunately, I feel like promoting this sometimes distorts the reality of coaching an entire team…
@infosecnick And I think even willing to admit this to players when it makes sense. That level of vulnerability and honesty builds authentic respect between players and coaches. It’s the accountability we ask of our players and I believe should be modeled by us coaches.
Hey uncommitted 2023s! I’m still recruiting for this fall. Please feel free to reach out if interested to learn more. Coaches, if you know of a senior still looking for a great academic and soccer program please reach out. My dm’s are open!
What if in a team setting we had opposed training for our youngest soccer players… then they learn how to scan and solve problems under pressure first… then there will be plenty of time to perfect technique or have unopposed training later. Thoughts?
@PlanItCoach Flip the common narrative… In team session opposed training first and foremost for the youngest. Unopposed always encouraged on their own. As they progress and grow, unopposed can be added to supplement opposed.
