And we’re back!! HPO only this week. This is how we’re starting off the season this year. We always like to hit the ground running, setting the tone early, while still setting up a technical foundation. Today we worked underwaters, beginning with technique, then building good habits, getting to set distances off each wall. You always have to be pretty strict at this point in the season. Repeat things if necessary to make sure they understand what you want out of them.

CH Tuesday - Race the clock. Normally in swimming you swim a set distance and measure your time. In this set, you swim a set time and measure your distance. That reframe gets swimmers to go way faster than they normally go in practice. They stop pacing themselves and just focus on going fast.
