Brad Underwoood started benching anyone who didn't crash the boards in the second half vs Jackson State. Says it won't be the last time he does that.

"It's what we're trying to do, and making guys do it. And continue to understand that if you don't do it, there is consequences. It's your rear end finds the bench."

This is sad. Parent's have to step in and take control of their kid's career. The kid doesn't know, he just wants to please his coaches since "they know what they are talking about."

Most travel ball coaches don't! Some do, and those guys are few and far in between.

Parents, your kid shouldn't be playing year round! They shouldn't be playing 8 games in a weekend, and they shouldn't be used as sacrificial mercenaries to win a 12U fake gold ring for the Coaches trophy case.

I promise you that pro scouts and college coaches don't care about any of that and they aren't giving out scholarships or drafting a player because he was in a 13U pro select Perfect Game gold level showcase where he threw 120 pitches or played 10 games in 3 days.

Spoiler alert, it's a money grab!

If they are good enough, they will be seen when it is time!

Take care of your kids and give them 2-3 months off a year!

Using LED lights to change to any court you want (even the NBA Cup courts), to drawing up X’s and O’s that show up on the court. 😳

Take your kids to the 7:00 of this presser. After the 2005 season ended in the national title game, Cook pulls DBK in to tell her she can’t set anymore. They need to go to a 5-1. She’ll be libero.

Her response? FU.

Three days later, Cook calls her mom because he hadn’t seen her. “She’ll be in to see you this afternoon.”

Cook is crying now. “And she brings in a letter that basically says I will do whatever this team needs me to do.”

We can PARENT that. In a world where we are supposed to quit or transfer. We can help our kids learn. It may have been the most impactful decision of her life.

According to the NFHS the fastest growing high school sport for girls is flag football. It saw a %173 increase in participants in just 3 years. The fastest declining sport is basketball with a loss over 6,000 participants in just one year.
