How does perception look in my game?
Here it is active and unfiltered. From much earlier version of the game.
I don’t think it looks good tho, it’s an extreme example. What are your thoughts?

Conversation Spot can be a Smart Object too!
Also, since I've got Relaxed state to work somewhat nicely, and Work state also does reasonably well, it is time to scare them a bit from our menacing looks with the firearm and such.
Or do you think they need more behaviour variety in this state even now?

And now Smart Object switching works beautifully! Attaching uncut video, this behaviour seems simple, but there's more to it than it seems.
And that is because:
- NPC's don't actually claim Smart Objects from half the map away;
- If they walk up and something is claimed - they walk away;
- EQS is incredibly considerate about avoiding claimed stuff as well as someone elses workplaces (and their own - they want to chill);
- There is no picking the same Smart Object twice, unless specified otherwise;
- This entire thing is interruped by the Work state easily;
- As much as possible of it is event driven - minimal performance impact;
Only downside - EQS can be slow and there can be wait time.
Let me know your thoughts!
Oh, and now it is time to add new stuff. Smoking while standing? Just idlying about doing something? Alternative standing near the wall? Give me ideas and it will be done.
And attaching my fixed BT in the first comment

Solo devs keep raising the bar 🤯 This UE5 @gibb09 creature action game looks insanely fun—grabbing cars, throwing them, then gliding with transformed wings?

A little update:
- Working on EQS improvements and filters to allow new features
- Trying to make relaxed behaviour completely flawless before moving on, it's almost there
Currently encountering a bug where they wouldn't commit to the chosen smart object for whatever reason "sometimes"
AI is rough, lots of struggle as usual.
I know you guys wanna see more SmartObjects and Perception, but how good is it if they can't use it and get stuck?

In this indie game you liberate (and disintegrate) cities while battling giant mechs!

This indie dev is making a game where you play as a solitary red panda monk
- Your staff lets you climb, glide and fight through stunning worlds
- Commune with ancient spirits and uncover secrets
- Restore a ruined temple you called home
It's called Kibu. Would you play this?
Forget lidar.
One single camera.
Runs in real time & is open source:
A streaming 3D model that reconstructs scenes live, at ~20 FPS, over long sequences.
End-to-end.
Optimization tricks, cleanup steps?
Nope.
And it beats both streaming and even some offline methods.
Perception is becoming software-first.
Closer to machines that see and understand the world as it unfolds.
