@maknz Got off lightly. The sleepout is soaked through the walls due to the high level but house is fine. But had we been any later I think we would of been stranded. So just happy to be home and safe and dry. Sounds like most of our friends are fine too bar some family friends.

Cannot believe the rain and the utter chaos that has ensued. Hoping everyone’s doing good in Auckland. Our friends messaged us on date night to get back immediately as our street started to flood badly. Had to abandon the car and wade on foot to make sure the dog was okay.
