The watch demo is the one I planned to show off at @fosdem this year. The other app is a selftest application I'm working on to test all devices and functionalities of the hardware !
Our priority is validating the HW so that PineStore can build the pilot batch.
We received the new prototype of the @thepine64 PineTimePro!
Together with Gamiee and Marek, we managed to power it up and flash/run/debug our code into the device!
Here are a few pictures of my setup!
Bambu Lab 3D printers: never again.
They're breaking the open source social contract (for the nth time...), and I'm past hoping they'll amend their ways.

Newest Featured Work – See what others are building on RISC-V
Docker on RISC-V is moving at a different pace now.
With community-maintained packages, Docker v29 is available on RISC-V64 within days of release, not months. Fully automated pipelines compile natively on RISC-V hardware and deliver the full stack as installable .deb and .rpm packages: Engine, CLI, Compose, and Buildx.
No workarounds. No missing features. Just parity.
This is what it looks like when a community gets ahead of the ecosystem.
Explore how it all came together and what it unlocks for developers working on RISC-V.

Solar-powered ESP32 E Ink smartwatch with long battery life
https://t.co/q8A3M16QMG
Inspired by Watchy, the LightInk open-source hardware watch features a 1.54-inch e-paper display and supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LoRa, and GPS, all running on a 100mAh battery.
Thanks to its built-in solar panel and firmware optimization, the watch can last up to 10 months on its battery.
Linux 7.0 is out! Here's a changelog.

We look at some notable changes, like AI tools' policy documentation and Rust being promoted as "not-experimental".
Then we go through the details of the changes for the Arm, RISC-V, and MIPS architectures.
We're going to be hosting a @Pebble developer contest starting in a few days! We've got dozens of Time 2 or Round 2 (winner's choice) as prizes, plus...

CLion 2026.1 just dropped 🎉 This release brings GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and other AI agents into the IDE via the Agent Client Protocol (ACP). It also offers DAP debugging over TCP, support for custom project formats, enhanced Bazel tooling, and more. Get the full picture: https://t.co/wECkPy81VA
@JosuGoi1 Pricing is not finalized yet, so don't take my word for it, but the current estimate would be 1.5 to 2x the price of the OG PineTime. I don't have any date for the public availability.
CLion gets some great debugger and CMake updates in 2026.1 EAP!
🔌 The IDE can now communicate with DAP debuggers over TCP, with Launch and Attach modes available.
🔢 You can now change number formats for variables on the fly while debugging – decimal, hex, octal, or binary.
⚡ Code completion is now available in the CMake options and Build options fields.
🏗️ CMake preset names in the UI now use displayName from CMakePresets.json for more human-friendly labels.

@orangepixunlong@openclaw Cool to see @openclaw on another @risc_v board! I built a riscv64 @Docker image for OpenClaw: cuts those 19 steps down to docker pull && docker run. Available on Docker Hub: gounthar/openclaw.
Also got llama.cpp running natively on a Banana Pi F3 for fully local inference.

This post summarizes the work done by @Collabora to upstream the drivers to mainline Linux, and looks at future work such as AV1 codec support.
I containerized an AI assistant on RISC-V hardware. npm install took 23 minutes, Docker's credential store has a case-sensitivity bug I spent an embarrassing amount of time on, and yes, it works. Thread.

🧵 I spent a few days testing #Atym, a WebAssembly platform for embedded devices. I've been running #Docker on tiny ARM boards for 12 years. Here's what I found.
I moved my #quartz64 NAS to my #minirack !
I designed (using #FreeCAD) a 100% custom shelf for the power supply, the SATA controller and the SBC and 3D printed it.
This is the first time I design a 3D model! It's not perfect, but I'm happy with the result!
