Isn’t it weird how unsubsidized consumer goods like TVs, appliances, clothes, all get cheaper and cheaper…while anything government puts its hands on, healthcare, housing, food, tuition, cars, utilities…just gets more and more unaffordable?
Oh well. Probably nothing.
We would like to apologize to this customer this morning after our Gay Manager Jacob briefly forgot he was a homosexual and relapsed into straightness while staring at her for a prolonged period of time.
Jacob converted to being fully gay in 2021, and assured us that this was a one-time incident triggered by his new medication. Jacob is being punished internally.
Too many people take the United States for granted.
Just look how excited Europeans and Japanese people are with visiting America.
You are privileged to be born in the greatest country on the planet.
Start acting like it.
Last night, I made a simple request on X. I asked if anybody visiting Arlington National Cemetery for Memorial Day would stop by Alan’s grave and leave a photo for our family.
What happened next honestly caught me off guard.
By this afternoon, dozens of Americans from all walks of life had made the walk to Section 60 to visit SSG Alan W. Shaw. Veterans. Families. Complete strangers. People who had never met Alan, but chose to honor him anyway.
For one day on social media, people put aside the constant noise and negativity and came together for something bigger than themselves. My notifications filled with photos, kind messages, prayers, and stories from people honoring not just Alan, but so many of our fallen heroes.
I don’t think people fully understand what moments like this mean to Gold Star families. The fear is never just losing them. It’s losing them slowly over time as the world moves on and fewer people remember their name.
But today showed me that Alan will never be forgotten.
After years of watching social media reward some of the worst parts of humanity, today gave me a reminder that the good is still out there too.
Thank you to every single person who stopped by to visit Alan today, said his name, shared his story, or took a moment to honor the fallen.
This right here is the America Alan knew and loved enough to fight and die for.
And today, y’all showed us all that it’s still here and it’s still worth fighting for. 🇺🇸
My wife sent me to Publix for milk. Two hours later I’m on IPA #5, elbows deep in wings, patrolling the self-checkout like a damn security guard with a pint in my hand and a suspicious eye on every Yankee trying to scan their own kale. 🧐 🍺
This is not a drill. They put a real bar inside the store. 🍷
Publix: Where shopping is literally a pleasure. Came for the BOGOs, stayed for happy hour, leaving with a solid buzz and zero milk. 😂
The best part? Sitting at that bar watching all the other husbands slowly realize they’re never making it home with the groceries either. 👏🏻
Is it still grocery shopping if you’re hammered? Asking for a friend who’s definitely sleeping on the couch tonight.
Send help. Or more wings. 🍺🛒💀
