In a recent decision taken by the Nova Scotia Court of Appeal, a self-represented litigant's challenge to a child support order was dismissed after it emerged that he had filed AI-generated transcripts that were presented as having been prepared by a certified court reporter (Arbuckle v Tanner, [2026] NSCA 62). Some of my clearest moments of reflection have come while spending time in our national parks. Grateful to see Yosemite captured so beautifully by Glenn Lee Robinson in this #ShotOniPhone photo. #NationalParkWeek

Your moment of zen from the TRPL. 🌻🐦
A pair of American Goldfinches (Spinus tristis) stop for a meal among the sunflowers surrounding the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library.
Their bright lemon-yellow plumage, black caps, and black wings tell us these are adult males in their summer breeding colors. And they’ve found one of their favorite foods: sunflower seeds, plucked straight from the flower heads.
This small moment is also a glimpse of something much bigger happening across our 93-acre site.
Through the TRPL’s Native Plant Project, we’re working to restore the native prairie ecosystem that surrounds the Library—collecting local seed, propagating native plants, and returning hundreds of thousands of plants to the landscape and living roof.
The goal isn’t simply to landscape a building. It’s to help restore habitat.

And sometimes, the best evidence that it’s working arrives on two little yellow wings.

AI is now answering 911 calls in New Orleans.
The AI handles incoming calls and is supposed to analyze and prioritize the calls so that if multiple people phone in about the same incident, the chatbot will handle the repetitive calls about the same incident.
Critics warn that the automatic speech recognition systems may cause problems, the AI may hold hidden biases, and that human 911 responders are needed.

Not every threat to court reporting is labeled "AI." States should monitor all legislation and administrative actions that could affect the profession. https://t.co/SOCzlu2JZw
