@labcoathero @78383 @_the_last_echo_ Being sold because too few people live in the area, and few of them go to worship. Lack of resources also why building never upgraded with toilets (water supply & drainage). Not hard to put in, but change of use to housing (especially for holiday let) tricky.

I've been thinking about the reason that Sir Keir put forward for the assisted dying debate:

"I made a promise to Esther Rantzen before the election that we would provide time for a debate and a vote on assisted dying."

This is not the same as:

1. We think it is in the public interest to have this debate.

2. We have done the appropriate legislative planning for how this could possibly work.

3. We are convinced that our palliative care system is properly resourced so that people have the right support they need.

4. We are convinced all the right safeguards are in place to permanently protect the vulnerable.

This is too important a topic to be rushed through.

@fesshole We once disturbed a mouse in our kitchen which fled into the (clearly familiar) nearby toaster. Taped the slots shut and threw the toaster out, mouse and all. Cleaned the replacement toaster out more carefully after that!
