@JFreshHockey I know we're talking totally different goalies here, but Devs just tried the "trade for a 33 yr old goalie and hope he has a few great years left" thing and it backfired hard. I think if Winnipeg retains salary and the asking price comes down it might be worth a shot.

@Jman220_ Casey has basically no value in a trade at this point, mercer is a middle six forward not extended long term. My point is Columbus has a history of not getting people to stick around- my guess is they trade marchenko for someone who is locked up or willing to extend.

@jp_gambatese By keeping the same goalie coach and having the same people evaluate goaltending talent for the last several years, all to poor success, you can make an argument that the Devils haven't truly tried everything to fix the problem. Not even close IMO

@23Devils23 @AlexC_NJD To me this is it. If I'm reading into anything, it's that Fitz was not allowed to make any big moves. Ownership likely told him it's either another palat style deal to dump a bad contract or nothing. If I'm wrong, I'd say fans should boycott the team indefinitely.
