Proud of you Colin! Keep working man!
Colin Giles strikes again! Hitting 90.5 mph siting 88-89 mph
Colin Giles started with us over a year ago at 79-84 mph! Back in November he got up to 87-88 T-89 mph and just this week he sat 88-89 T-90.5MPH
But the jump isn’t just velocity.
His strike percentage is way up, offspeed metrics have taken a huge step, and his fastball command is starting to separate him. A real, complete arsenal is coming together for the next level.
Keep climbing! Let’s go

‼️ATHLETE SPOTLIGHT‼️
@BSFpitching Athlete Colin Giles is proof of what 16 months of relentless, structured training can do📈
Went from 79–84 MPH ➡️ 87–88 MPH (T-89.2) — and this is just the beginning.
This isn’t just a velocity jump — it’s a full performance transformation:
• 📈 Force Plate & Weight Room metrics skyrocketed.
• 🎯 Offspeed arsenal refined and backed by sharper Trackman data.
A key factor in his success has been our holistic, year-round approach! We didn't stop in the offseason ➡️ utilizing our + and - in-season/active throwing system teaching workload management was 🔑— it was knowing exactly what to do the days before and after mound work. This was crucial for controlling variables and achieving better balance.
His limited fall play let us nail the deload-to-build-up phase, setting the stage for sustainable velocity and long-term health through the spring.
Massive strides made — but we’re far from done.
Keep pushing, Colin 💪🏼

Thank you to my family, Top Tier coaches, High School coaches, and especially my teammates for all the support — it has been my lifelong dream to be a Spartan and looking forward to representing the Green & White!! @MSUBaseball@TopTierBaseball@TopTier_HQ@PG_Illinois@GenVikBaseball@PrepBaseballIL #GoGreen #SpartanBaseball #FutureSpartan #BigTenBaseball
86 with life and a wipe out slider. Fills up the zone and you can dream on what he’s going to be doing in 6 months. This guy is going to make some school very happy.
Colin Giles (‘27, IL) working 82-85 T86 mph on the FB w/ good AS life & some sink. Flipping a low- to mid-70s SL w/ healthy 10-4 shape and depth to it. Athletic mover w/ some feel for the move downhill. @PG_Illinois@PG_Uncommitted@TopTierBaseball#WWBAWorlds
LHP Christopher Chittaro (Saint Ignatius, 2027) was efficient in his two innings of work, only allowing one hit with two strikeouts.
FB: 81-84 mph; 16.4” IVB max
SL: 68-70 mph; 1/7 shape w/ depth
CH: 72-73 mph; fades
