@itchynscratchys @auddiejames A week in advance of free agency. I mentioned that earlier in the thread. He needed to do what most GMs do and not put something like that in the hands of the player.

I would certainly hope he wouldn’t do that again 😂

@itchynscratchys @auddiejames This is why he should have set an internal deadline a week in advance. Avoid this whole mess & get some assets via trade. Youre a GM of a multimillion $ org - act like it. When you hold a title like that, you dont get to throw your hands in the air & say “I didnt see that coming”

@auddiejames He DID lose him for nothing! As a GM, you set an internal deadline with your player (let’s say a week before FA). Whatever the players chooses by that deadline is what stands no matter what. Its not all that hard to blame Tre for that entire situation. Bad asset management.

Sutter won’t stop rotating 4 lines - this finds the most balance IMO.

3. I want to see one or two of Pelletier, Phillips, Zary called up to see if they can play before Tre goes out and spends 1st and 2nd round picks on veteran players who are only going to play half a season in Calgary. Don’t waste picks until you know if your prospects can play.

@spittinchiclets I can’t stand it when people don’t hold the guy who got hit to the same standard. McDavid moves at the last second to avoid a big hit he lined himself up for. He got clipped because of his own bad decisions. This isn’t on edler. If it is - mcdavid should be suspended as well.
