One point that the cognoscenti miss is that we have no realistic idea of what percent of Iran's populace supports the IRGC. that is, supports armed resistance to the mullahs. I would get the best estimate from Israel, the experts. If supports for revolution is less than 50% any supports to the populace would just be another massacre.

At the height of the hydroxychloroquine / Ivermectin hysteria, I spoke with a working pediatrician employed in a hospital. She supported careful use of both drugs. I asked about Fauci's views; matter-of -factly she said "Fauci is not a doctor." Turned out she was right; Fauci had not seen a huan patient in 50 years.

Our version of "Carrier Quals" was the "Dreaded Icy Deck." Inebriated pilots would fly off the arrayed bar tables even faster than their approach. My assignment (no fun) was to stay sober and guard the Colonel, the MAG-49 CO. Our FAVORITE "O" Club was MCB 29 Palms. A thousand miles from everywhere. The bar managers were good guys and the broken bar furniture was not exorbitantly expensive.
