Rodger
I have finished translating from Polish into English 3/15 diaries for my future book on the Katyń Diaries. Reading the entries of Dobiesław Jakubowicz are just heart-wrenching. He wrote every day how much he missed his wife, Maria and waited months for just one letter from her.
I’m very proud to support @BBCCiN#ChildrenInNeed 2020 “Together, we can.” Money raised will help support children across the UK, children facing so many challenges. For more info on how you can help, please visit https://t.co/uf5snzTKaK Thank you so much. 💛
During World War II British and Canadian warships participated in numerous surface actions. Pictured here is the British battleship Duke of York, which prevailed over the German battlecruiser Scharnhorst during the battle of North Cape in December 1943.
@marksimner Hi Mark
Spot on Mark have you seen that terrible Christopher Nolan remake. There were about fifty soldiers on the beach and where were all the vehicles and equipment that should have been strewn around.
Although I do have like good old Kenneth Branagh.
