▪️ Demand crossed 20,000 MW on 16 days
▪️ Daily consumption exceeded 400 MU on 25 days

August 2026 was also India’s hottest August since 1901.

Higher electricity usage can push households into higher billing slabs, resulting in a much larger bill—even without a fresh tariff increase.
