@pdubby413@heterodoxan Compared to what level of grocery here? Just curious because when I lived in the UK (granted, years ago) groceries were definitely not cheaper though alcohol was.
@shoshido Interesting theory but most wordcels have the cognitive ability to grasp basically all practically math...I think there is a lot of deliberate ignorance out there.
I don't recall...all I know is that I understood what this type of mathematical anomaly meant before I graduated HS (obviously in the context of science not politics) and took statistics at my decent but not highly selective university to further cement a moderate ability to understand what numbers are telling us.
That said, I do have friends who are in wordy type jobs who went to elite schools that clearly are substantially weaker at mathematical concepts than I am.
@daveweigel I think a lot of people that were fine with gay advocacy 20 years ago are turned off by its subsequent ubiquity plus revolting embrace of the trans fiction.

@avidseries No one on the left wants to grapple with the fact that for the most part the poor are that way because of their own behavior and lack of ability.
@Designsage@Target Yep, the low quality staff at our local Target, Taco Bell, Chipotle, etc is notable for the total lack of white kids even though they are probably 85% of the teens that live with a mile.
