Polynesian origins or NZ vs Tonga/Samoa will not rate as high an as NRL game - which is what matters to the TV channels who pay for the TV rights

Depleted teams playing for points still rate higher than a Polynesian test match

It’s not ideal but you need to keep the NRL game coming, nothing rates better.
