“Uh…” Abelio glanced to the side awkwardly. “T-The last time I saw my mother? Mm… never?” he answered, voice trailing off hesitantly.

@piqtip Not too deep, alright? That will make you spiral (she chuckled).
Not really, I just had the permission to work from home for today. The closest I can have to a day off.
@piqtip I wouldn't put myself in danger—the titbits are already out there either in tabloids or Reddit threads. I would put /you/ in danger with that.
No, not at all. I managed to make myself a homemade breakfast today. That's a big accomplishment, you know.
@OfMorningSwan Bless you for being a good daughter. How is Tokyo doing? I haven't heard anything bombastic coming out from your city—and sincerely wish it stays that way. I was an officer too before they transferred me to the Homeland Security.

Now that I think about it, it’s been a while since I last visited her grave. Not trying to make excuses, but… yeah, work just got in the way. VICTOIRE, 1993. TMPD’s police officer.

@outlawsbow "So, Roy," she smiled. "Yeah, yeah, something like that. Human trafficking, drug-across-borders type of things, organized crime... Heavy stuff. No fun."
@piqtip (She sighed) Human knows no bounds in cruelty, especially to people or anything weaker than them. I have one in my mind but it's gonna sound like something that belongs in the deep web or a horror blog, you know.
@d0llest Anna smiles—her eyes were gentle, like she didn't notice anything off with his words. "What are you saying? You're still a doll, still beautiful," she alludes to the slang use of a 'doll'—a pretty person.
@piqtip Good luck with your study. You've just started, so it'll be a lot more frustrating ahead. But that's what makes it fun! (She smiles)
I'm with the Homeland Security. FBI's lesser known sibling.
@d0llest She doesn't want to pry further seeing his uncomfortable gesture. "Mine just moved to another state, and I haven't seen her since. But to be fair, the last time I saw her we got into a big fight. So..."
@piqtip That's the learning curve. Don't worry, you'll get accustomed to it.
Both are the same tied case—trafficked human, mostly children or females, found deserted in rural places in the US. A lot of the victims are from those countries... Sorry, that's depressing.

I’m Nikolai Whitlock. Saw her only yesterday, actually. She talked about the weather for twenty minutes, then scolded me for not visiting enough—so, nothing’s changed.
