The African continent doesn’t need more entrepreneurs. It’s full of them.
What it needs is a specific class of entrepreneurs called industrialists: business people who build value-adding firms in export-oriented job creating sectors, not rent capture.
You can save your way into wealth creation but not at this scale.
480,000 is what it cost to RENT Bulldozer for 1 single day to clear about a hectare of land.
1. Bulldozer (D7) Rental= 250-350,000 (Depending on the part of Nigeria you are developing)
2. Operator and Operator assistant cost = 40-60,000
3. Gas about 100 liters = 130,000
I forgot to add, you will need to hire a Lowbed trailer to bring the machine to your site, that’s approximately =300,000
Before you start working on any land anywhere in the world 🌎, you will have to do the leg work of settling the locals.
After bulldozing you will have to Grand and carve out the layout with a Grader .
You will also need to evacuate the waste you bulldozed.
If you are going to clear a single hectare of land anywhere in Nigeria and prepare that land for operation, you need nothing less than 2-3,000,0000.
So let me get this straight, the WAFCON which was supposed to be hosted in Morroco got postponed just few weeks to the competition then over a week after CAF declared Morroco AFCON winners.
Wild guess Morocco will be ready to host WAFCON again now yeah? CAF is a disgrace!!
According to the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs:
About 45 million Africans live outside of Africa. Out of 1.4 billion people, that is roughly 3 percent of our population.
Around 85 to 90 million Asians live outside of Asia. Asia’s total population is about 4.7 billion. That means roughly 2 percent of Asians live outside their continent.
About 9 million citizens of the United States live outside their country out of 335 million people. That is roughly 5 percent of Americans.
And around 70 million Europeans born in Europe live outside of Europe out of 450 million. That is about 15 percent of their population.
So in raw numbers and in percentage, Americans and Europeans are the biggest migrant populations on this planet.
Yet somehow they keep pushing the story as if migration is a problem exported by the global south.

I want us to understand this - cos I observed a lot of intelligent people don’t.
Education is not for intelligent students only; it’s a fundamental right & a tool for personal/societal development.
It is meant for everyone, regardless of their innate academic ability.
"Oh, you need to sell yourself", fuck you! Yes, fuck you! A CV used to be enough, now my personal social media has be dedicated to me saying, 'yes, I did that and that and that' only to be underpaid by some corporate entity. No, I will not sell myself.
Correction: This was not a vaccine trial, but a drug (Trovan) trial conducted by Pfizer in 1996 during a meningococcal meningitis epidemic. Four things stood out for me:
1. Pfizer tested their experimental drug without ethical approval.
2. There was no informed consent from trial participants (participants and their families were not told that they were part of a trial). Pfizer argued that it was not required to obtain informed consent for experimental drug trials in Africa.
3. The Pfizer team left Kano after the trial and never returned for follow-up evaluations.
4. Their drug caused deaths and injuries.
This highlights the importance of prioritising medical ethics in Africa. The reality is that this event contributed to the vaccine hesitancy Nigeria experienced when trying to eliminate wild polio. It most likely still contributes to vaccine hesitancy in the country!
The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) will approve a long-pending proposal for telecom price hikes, with new rates for calls, SMS, and internet bundles expected to take effect in January 2025. https://t.co/OKyC32lxZ3
Indian gov't is buying a subscription to 13,000 academic journals, and then making them all available to "18 million students, faculty, and researchers" for free.
The cost is $715 million over 3 years. It includes Elsevier, Nature, and AAAS.
Have any other countries done this?
