We had the pleasure of hosting a group of visiting scholars from the University of Johannesburg.
Prof Umesh Ramnarain and doctoral students Katleho Leshabane, Noluthando Mdlalose, Sechaba Koma, and Lereko Mohafa joined us for insightful discussions!
We were delighted to welcome Dr. Nathalie Sinclair, a distinguished mathematics researcher and professor from Simon Fraser University, to the Connected Mathematics Project office. She engaged in rich conversations with CMP4 authors!
The CMP team and CMP teachers presented at the Conversations Among Colleagues Conference, sharing insights on collaborative teaching strategies, using CMP4 materials in digital and non-digital classrooms, and discussing how teacher educators can redesign math methods courses.
The Summer Institute is a 4-day professional learning experience at Michigan State University and is designed for educators who want to explore practical teaching strategies, rich mathematical tasks, and collaborative learning!
