@TMFScottP @JamesBenHul Aggregate demand will decline with the RBA % increase. When was the last time they did a preemptive rate increase? The fuel price increase is taking more out of the economy and from everyone not just mortgage holders. Petrol price will drive more to EV particularly trucks.

Please exclude income tax paid by workers, also indicate the amount of gas sold overseas at a price lower than that gas being sold into the Australian market and any other price/cost shifting mechanism that reduces real profit in Australia. @Lisa9Sophia Just remember that 80%+ of energy at Gina Reinhardt Lithium mine comes from renewables, solar, wind , batteries. Desires is less than 5%. I don’t think there are too many farmers who don’t have solar running pumps on water bores so they know the benefits. Let them decide.
