So, the plan to keep @NYCSchools safe is to send rapid antigen tests home for kids who've been exposed and if they test negative and are asymptomatic, they go back to class the next day. Here are the problems:
@UFT@NYCSchools@NYCMayor my pregnant colleague was denied testing today because she didn't fill out the consent form on the random day they decided to generate the list for today's testing. What's the point of consenting every single day??
@UFT was told I was a close contact to multiple students w/ covid and was also told by the in school testing they would not test me because they were done for the day. I walked in to be tested as they swabbed the last student. What are we doing about this? Not testing ANY adults?
Breaking: @Nike to celebrate and honor its namesake, the Greek Goddess of Victory ฮฮฏฮบฮท, by completely obliterating her name and the entire Greek language ๐
@Dora_Kastel All of this. Missing the conference experience so much right now. Especially with pic memories popping up all over my social media from past conferences these last few weeks ๐
@Dora_Kastel It's so frustrating Dora! We took advantage of this year to focus on phenomena since we felt we had the freedom to not worry about exams (in a school that is very much about test prep). We know where the gaps are, we've spend months with these kids! Don't need a test to tell us!
