In MLK's letter, I felt that it was a very effective response to "A Call for Unity." It is also interesting to me to see the ways we have and haven't progressed socially since that letter. In many ways, things have improved, but there are still many issues that remain.

@aisamda #RHUB305 I definitely agree. The sheer size and magnitude of America makes it very difficult for it to be one whole coherent discourse community. A combination of that size and various conflicts in our history lend themselves to the country being made up of smaller communities.

#RHUB305 I thought the six factors of a discourse community were interesting, and found them easy to relate to multiple aspects of my life that maybe I wouldn't have considered a discourse community, for example in just my small group of friends that play video games together.

I think it's a good incentive to stop that practice and be okay with a shorter paper that gets the job done #RHUB305

One thing that stood out to me and really impacted my plan for this narrative essay was when Stephen King talked about not knowing where his plots would go. I thought it was interesting and it encouraged me to be less strict with an outline for this piece. #RHUB305
