@pitdesi@sytaylor@Meta Exact reason apple/meta won’t acquire Instinct whilst their main channel is imsg
Also these companies have large capacity to build a similar feature. Instinct is really only big on tech twitter right now
@FundamentEdge This will be eerily accurate across all industries once the catch-up phase is over
Not many cases where technology in the past has decreased labor/productivity. I don’t believe AI will veer from this
I think #7 is the most important here in terms of *why* they raised so much. very much so a full circle moment from public->private markets, where products w/ high adoption will burn cash for long periods of time.
but I agree that instinct is easily monetizable through a lot of paths, I dont believe it is in their best interests to sell consumer data lol.
The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees.
The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance.
Access to all other Claude models is not affected.
We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible.

@ricoberan@interaction This happened to me like 3-4 times in the first week of using it. Incredible that they can generate this much hype and still not ship functioning reminders
regulation argument --> companies appeal to public/forced --> permanent subsidization (from labs)
nationalization argument --> gov appeals to public --> permanent subsidization (from labs)
In either case the subsidization will rise as there is pressure given the argument that {more compute}*{non-dumb people} = increases in GDP and, quite literally, the country's relative aura
I'm confident UBT will happen before/instead of UBI. In a way you see this in tech already from the companies to employees. If regulation or nationalization occurs, then the same will happen but from the government/labs to everybody. UBT already exists (chatgpt free mode) to an extent
There is an interesting niche here to be the first mover on a "token bank/insurance". Lending based on productivity, insuring companies venturing into AI against marginal revenue < AI spend... etc
The token bank is probably roughly on the same timeline as convergence between AI spend and a lot of other incremental results, which of depends on a ton of things holding true
@Cedric_Roberge This makes sense for the audience. Probably more goal oriented (they know what they want to achieve), so showing the features really appeals. Kind of the opposite of a lot of other sectors. Just a quick thought though!
@dranthonygustin@cormachayden_@iiiitsandrea In fairness its not logical for any company to manually go through 100,000k+ products. A more transparent and structured system though could have prevented this. Seems like ingredients and dosages are ephemeral per product in the score
@maxyatsuk@PolymarketDevs Sorry just read that the per-market CLOB is not guaranteed. Still just seems like a contract for a parlay though (parlay is x AND y AND z…)
@maxyatsuk@PolymarketDevs How is this different from a parlay. Still pretty confused. Assuming that each conditionId/parlay market will have their own book?
Will be interesting to see how this works out w/ liquidity.
