@wholemars Processing Lidar data actually requires less compute power than camera. Lidar based NN are also more efficient & require less data due to less data variance. Lidar can also see where people are facing, what bags they are wearing, skateboard, scooter, bikes & any object dimensions

Lemur went from 24mph to zero in ~10m with nearly instant reaction time. Based on the physics here, it's unlikely many of us could do the same.
