Hands are as important as the brain.
From Shenzhen, Stella Robot has unveiled the PANTHEON HAND 22:a new generation of bionic dexterous hand that combines 22 degrees of freedom with remarkable strength and finesse.
It’s a hand that truly understands precision.
It can lift 30 kilograms, yet is delicate enough to thread a needle. Each finger can bear 1.5 kilograms, and the entire hand can gently hold a piece of tofu or sense the subtle expansion of a balloon.
Powered by a tendon-driven mechanism with integrated actuators inside the forearm, it achieves compact design and natural, human-like movement.
From precision assembly and component handling to material transport and human-robot collaboration, the PANTHEON HAND 22 shows what it means for humanoid robots to truly work with their hands.
This video shouldn’t be free. @JedrekBargiel skied from Everest’s summit to base camp without oxygen. His brother Bartek filmed the entire descent with @DJIGlobal drones and cameras. Pause at any point and it looks insane. Watch every second.

Frank Dikötter is a senior fellow at the Hoover Institution who has recently returned to the United States after living in Hong Kong since 2006. In this provocative conversation, Dikötter challenges the prevailing narrative about China's rise. Drawing from his latest book, "China After Mao: The Rise of a Superpower," Dikötter argues that the Chinese Communist Party has masterfully projected the image of a powerful, modern, and economically dominant nation—but says that image is largely a façade. "It's a classic Silicon Valley story." Here's the first interview and TV report on Elon Musk, from CBS in 1998. Elon was 27 at the time. His first company, Zip2, had been founded just 3 years earlier. @elonmusk

It's only been 1 day of CES 2024, and the tech developments have been incredible.
The 10 most impressive reveals of CES 2024 so far:
1. The world's first transparent MICROLED screen by Samsung
"China’s new cancer drug Toripalimab is approved in the US but will cost 30 times more.
In China, a single-dose vial costs US$280 but in the US it will have a wholesale price of US$8,892."

This case is particularly interesting because high drug prices in the US are always sold to the public as "the cost of innovation", but obviously in this case the innovation happened in China so it's pretty crystal clear it's in fact just Americans getting screwed by their healthcare system...
@IBD_ECarson @phenryart Buffett & Munger are admirable of course, but they didn't believe/see/understand the EV tech S-curve. Now that BYD has significant earnings Buffett has taken a pause in selling. But XJP is erratic & lawless so valuation (p/e) will always be muted.

@Eureka_Bing @ 1:30
Buffett: What % of cars in 2030 will be EVs?
Munger: Not many.
Clearly they don't understand technology S-curves. (I don't know the date of this recording)
They will be shocked to learn new car sales in Shanghai has reached 50% NEVs already.

@phenryart @IBD_ECarson Looks like Buffett has stopped selling shares. Last report was on June 19 2023, now holding on to his remaining 98m shares, or 3.4% of BYD.
