That same network now extends into the information layer. Through his son David and Oracle’s capital, the Ellison family has assembled a media portfolio that includes Paramount and CBS, is positioned to take control of Warner Bros. Discovery (CNN, HBO, and the Warner studio library), and holds a significant stake in TikTok’s U.S. operations. The result is ownership spanning major broadcast and cable news, Hollywood production and libraries, and a dominant short-form platform, acquired and expanded with the benefit of the same political access that greases the government and AI infrastructure deals.

Let’s put aside MBS’s liberalism/modernist views aside and let’s look back to the decisions that MBS took which landed Saudi Arabia in this current position in Yemen. Saudi Arabia has been facing threats from Iran since the 80s when the current regime in Iran got in power. It’s been 40 years and we see the influence Iran has across the Middle East and a country that borders Saudi Arabia; Yemen. MBS decided to invest billion of dollars in the West, depend on US military for its defence system and etc. MBS did this despite that decades of wars that US fought for the sake of Israel’s interests, the same republicans that dehumanizes Muslims and Arabs for the sake of Christian Zionism. The threat of Iran and its proxies, American society becoming more divided and Israel facilitating their project in the region (West bank occupation, Trump recognizing Golan as Israeli sovereignty and etc),

MBS decided to be best buddies with the Emiratis and participate in a unnecessary conflict against Qatar and Turkey, secret talks with Israel, and getting rid of Saudi’s soft power across the Arab world (Sahwa movement).

I’ll give credits where it’s due; MBS pushing for a diverse military defence strategy (Ties with China, Mecca agreement, good ties with Qatar and more outspoken about the Palestine cause). Saudi Arabia is heading towards a right direction and hopefully the current losses in Yemen is a wake up call.

Les juifs de Khaybar présentent un écrit attribué au Prophète ﷺ. Il les dispenserait de la jizya, porterait l'écriture de ʿAlī ibn Abī Ṭālib et des signatures de témoins parmi les Compagnons, dont Muʿāwiya ibn Abī Sufyān et Saʿd ibn Muʿādh.

Ibn Kath��r précise que l'affaire surgit tardivement, après l'an 300 H. Certains savants chafiʿites s'y sont même laissé prendre.

Bagdad, Ve siècle H. Le vizir Ibn al-Muslima soumet le document au ḥāfiẓ al-Khaṭīb al-Baghdādī (m. 463 H). Selon le récit d'Ibn al-Jawzī dans al-Muntaẓam, al-Khaṭīb déclare aussitôt : « C'est un faux. » On lui demande d'où il le sait. Il répond qu'on y trouve le témoignage de Muʿāwiya, qui ne s'est converti qu'à la conquête de La Mecque (8 H), alors que Khaybar date de 7 H.

On y trouve aussi celui de Saʿd ibn Muʿādh, mort des suites d'une flèche reçue lors de la bataille du Fossé, environ deux ans avant Khaybar. Le témoin était donc encore païen, et l'autre déjà mort. Al-Samhūdī conclut que c'est là l'un des bénéfices de la science de l'histoire.

Damas, 701 H. Le même faux ressurgit. Ibn Taymiyya le confronte et démontre la fraude. Les juifs reviennent alors au paiement de la jizya. Ibn Kathīr affirme avoir vu le document de ses propres yeux. Il relève les mêmes anachronismes, auxquels il ajoute des fautes grossières de grammaire arabe, impossibles chez ʿAlī.

Les autres preuves de fausseté relevées par Ibn al-Qayyim,Ibn al-Qayyim cite ce cas dans al-Manār al-munīf, son traité sur les critères des hadiths forgés. Il recense dix preuves, dont voici les principales :

•La jizya n'existait pas encore. Le verset qui l'instaure n'est descendu qu'à l'époque de Tabūk, environ trois ans après Khaybar.

•Le vocabulaire est anachronique. Le texte exempte de « kulaf et sukhar » (taxes et corvées), des impôts qui n'existaient pas à l'époque prophétique.

•Il contredit le pacte authentique. L'accord réel de Khaybar disait « nous vous laissons tant que nous le voulons ». Ce n'est pas le statut protégé permanent que suppose une exemption de jizya.

•Le silence des transmetteurs. Un privilège aussi important aurait été transmis par les Compagnons, les Successeurs et les imams du hadith. Il n'est pourtant connu que par ceux qui y avaient intérêt.

Pourquoi c'est probant ?

Un document « ancien », signé de grands noms et appuyé par des intérêts financiers, a été réfuté par une méthode systématique. Cette méthode croise les dates de conversion et de décès des témoins, la chronologie de la législation, la langue et la transmission. Et elle a donné le même verdict, indépendamment, à des siècles d'intervalle.

Une nuance s'impose par honnêteté :

l'épisode d'al-Khaṭīb est rapporté par des historiens (Ibn al-Jawzī, al-Dhahabī) et non par une chaîne de transmission rigoureuse. En revanche, l'épisode de 701 H est un témoignage direct d'Ibn Kathīr, qui a examiné le document lui-même.
