@MattMcDonald013 If you’re lucky you can thread a piece of tine through the remaining strings then loop it around the ejector fingers. That can either pull it out or break the strings. 😂
@brodenholland Yeah righto. Looks like there’s plenty of clover in there too? It’s a tricky crop to make the most of in a variable climate. I’ve never been able to get its peak growth to align with grazing pressure.
@nudenutwa It certainly doesn’t look as good, but height isn’t everything. Sheep can graze good looking vetch down to nothing very quickly but I’m always surprised how well subs handle grazing and how well sheep do on it.

@dyerjonathan Spot on Jono. I’ve been looking for the “right” seeder for years now, and the fact that they’re all so different suggests to me that the perfect seeder doesn’t exist.
@AllanRe37703049@AdamMorgan77@LFelmingham I’ve got a ton of Goldie’s for 2025 for this reason. There’s been a few times where spring has favored grain over hay and I like the idea of being able to go either way.
@MartinMurray_Ag It’s a pain for A-framing behind machinery. With a key, you can leave the Ute on accessories so the steering doesn’t lock on you. Push button’s default to off after a while of being on accessories, so you have to leave the Ute running when towing it.
@Ashley_Jacobs92@agrobaz Calibre is a great versatile variety. With a late break this year and low GSR, it suited the maturity of Calibre much better than the Reilly we had. I’d say quicker maturities would always come out in front on a drier year. Long coleoptile is a bit more forgiving at sowing too.
@agrobaz Hi Barry, is frost pretty common in your peas? I’ve grown them the last two years and had some frost both years. I wondered if I’d be best to sow them earlier to get more biomass so if they get frosted at least there’s a good bit there to bale?
