Drone that can swim! 🏊🏼
Scientists in China have developed a special drone called TJ-FlyingFish that can both fly in the air and dive underwater.
This lightweight drone, weighing only 1,6 kilograms, has four rotor arms that help it move efficiently in both environments. It can reach depths of 10 feet underwater, move at two meters per second, and stay submerged for 40 minutes. 🤿
It can hover for six minutes per battery charge in the air.
This unique drone could be useful for search-and-rescue missions, marine research, and offshore construction in the future!

Archgen Labs (@archgen_) is now backed by Y Combinator (@ycombinator)
We are a research lab for silicon design, with one ambition: make chip design 1,000× faster.
For decades, computing advanced by shrinking transistors. The next chapter for compute workloads will increasingly depend on building vertically - stacking active logic layers to create 3D chips.
This makes designing those chips much harder but also opens up new possibilities for performance and efficiency.
At @archgen_ , we’re bringing together foundational models, EDA tools, and physics-informed surrogate models to explore more designs, predict their behavior faster, and optimize how they’re built.
Grateful to Kulveer Taggar (@kul), Garry Tan (@garrytan) and the @ycombinator team for backing us, and to the customers, mentors, and collaborators who have helped us get here.
If you want to get to tapeout faster, we’d love to talk. DM us.

human level interpretation (ofaudio/speech/vision) by a computer was made possible by large training datasets
smell (gas) detection/analysis was resolved with chromatographs/spectrometers
balance/touch/temperature measured with sensors
only thing left is fusion of all at once
Lots of great updates in the audio space in the last 24 hours. This is something that I would've thought to be near-undoable just 6 months ago, especially with just 100m params.
My mom sent me a voice-note in between a class. Couldn't listen, so I just… don't know what she said.
Built a concept: #WhatsApp voice notes to readable text, inline.
@WhatsApp is the only one that can ship this properly.
Made an extension & it's open-source.
apparently there's this feature on youtube where the original author can respond/reply to comments in "audio" format (and youtube being youtube will try to transcribe)
reddit already has allowed users to reply with videos (under comments section)
someday instagram will try that

Worked hard on this piece on synthetic data generation covering everything from its pioneering methodologies to a spectrum of applications, while addressing critical concerns over the truthfulness and privacy. #syntheticdata#ai#ethicalai#privacy
"success rates of robot arms handing over objects to each other when inference is performed with different gpus (some onboard, and some offloaded). offloading improves success rates"

network latency really affects the success rate, despite good models
Robots are getting smarter, but how can their hardware match that growth? New Microsoft Research findings show that moving AI inference beyond the robot can improve task success, boost efficiency, and support more advanced physical AI workloads. https://t.co/Ks9cUCbn9r
