Perhaps the greatest current threat to liberty in America is our increasingly tribal environment, which closes minds to the honest examination of issues and ideas.
Most Americans believe in liberty, but the collectivist ideologies of nationalism and socialism—two sides of the same coin—have been gaining traction. Both center on empowering the state to control people’s lives. These twin ideologies will dominate our future if we don’t engage.
