@jessegenet Yes to this! Push back y’all! Also, my agents still sometimes way overestimate how long a project will take to complete - it’s like they are referencing how long it would take before AI. So I have to say “No, for you it will take 10 min. Just get it done. You got this!”

This is such an excellent tool. One of the earliest ideas that shaped my coaching was the book “Catch Them Being Good” by Tony DiCicco & Colleen Hacker. Reinforce the behavior and decisions you actually want.

Freeze the moment, make a big deal and give the kid a high five, then ask the team, “Who knows why I’m so pumped?” Now every player is looking for how to do that same thing again.

@coach_kevin_m Teaching kids how to deal with disappointment is good. However, lecturing for 3 minutes, pointing your finger a lot, and using an intense tone that feels like you are being reprimanded - is not how I would choose to deliver the message if I wanted the lesson to land.

And now parking is $250.

TWO HUNDERED AND FIFTY DOLLARS. To park! P.S. This is not even for one of the U.S. games - this is to see Switzerland vs Bosnia. Seriously?! This is beyond ridiculous.

We were looking at taking the direct route Metro bus from Pierce College because the ride is only $1.75.

Except parking there is $55. Fifty-five dollars to park in the Valley at a park-n-ride that will take 75 minutes on the bus to get to the stadium. What is happening??

“Grow the game” shouldn’t mean “extract every possible dollar from the people who love it.”
