Let me see if I can help the media, legal analysts, and the rest.  David Weiss was appointed US attorney by Trump, but Weiss would never have been appointed without Joe Biden's consent.  Joe Biden owns Delaware.  No appointment in any federal position can happen without his consent, and that includes by Republican presidents (he would block them).  The fact is that Biden knew Weiss, or his Delaware operatives did, far better than Trump.  In fact, I doubt Trump and his people knew anything about Weiss other than he was a registered Republican. Furthermore, the person handling personnel early in the Trump administration was a former top advisor to John Boehner, a major mistake.  Personnel is, as they say, policy.  Weiss is a Biden hack, which is beyond obvious.
