@Philippa_Perry He means that ironically of course. I remember Grayson when we had chats over the non-existent garden fence; about the price of electricity and stuff. He had no money, I had not much more. His bill was always going to be higher than mine because he’d just acquired a big kiln!
@AliUK12 1) They will appreciate water from your rain butt rather than the tap 2) they don’t need much pruning, none at all is fine 3) a mulch of 3-4 inches of leaf-mould around their roots will be spot on (after watering)
@joannaofottawa You’re sorted all right! With a title like that…:-) Bon voyage and have a great, easy time. BTW. I acquired my first Philip Roth paperback, on your recommendation. Here goes…
One of 19 Marbled White butterflies - the most I’ve ever seen - on a brownfield site in East London today. Don’t write off such ‘scrubby’ sites as valueless for nature. They can be some of the best. @savebutterflies @RoseNWF @FWP2009 @essexbna
@DuilleDesign@EastMarple1 I agree about the multi-directional gazes. It appears to have been the thing that those on the right and left ‘arms’ of the group would be expected to look at an angle to the photographer, not at him/her. And the eyes of the photographer would be hidden anyway!
@EastMarple1 @JayneShrimpton I do like it. I always remind myself that most photos of this type were taken to mark an occasion of some kind. Even though it may not look like it. Someone may have been retiring or a couple joining the team. Some may have been about to go off to war. That sort of thing.
@StephenShelle20 No need to be scared. I am still contracting at 64. I face each new gig with some trepidation of course, but I work and do what I know. Last time I worked in a team that included alongside a very experienced and awesome 70 year-old woman.
