@LynAldenContact@MichaelAArouet Over that time period there have been multiple mass extinction events and conditions for humans would have been very bad in most regions 50m years ago. So zooming out is not really an agrument.
@billybinion Funny how the EU is often portait as weak/woke climate hysterics but then the "real" men are wining about summer days.
The difference to third world is that in EU most people could afford to but decide against. Our house has AC though.
@MichaelAArouet@Swen_2017 No, but considering the growth of renewables, population decline and possibly decoupling, coal will not even be close to cost-efficient in a few years.
Maybe they just like to add some ghost coal plants to their ghost cities to complete the view. :D

@MeghanEMurphy Then multiple sclerosis must be a victim story too.
It is typical for auto immune diseases to have a much higher rate in women because of the differences in immune system.
Many ME/CFS/LC patients have high levels of GRPC autoantibodies, a sign for auto immunity.
Wissenschaft funktioniert anders.
@Squashedhedgi @resiapretorius Unjust 100%.
But from a science point it is probably easier to understand the underlying mechanism if the illness is fresh and not with added complexity due to long-term effects.
Still, they should just do both at the same time. I am also in the 15Y+ category.
@OliverFaude Sport is certainly good as a precaution.
But the statements about long COVID in the article are pure speculation that completely misses the reality. Most people want to do sports again, but can't (e.g. because of GPCR autoantibodies).
@MichaelAArouet@LynAldenContact China is also expected to add around 100 GW solar in 2023, which is more than 3x the US.
Since solar is now the cheapest form of energy, the share of solar will be far above current 2030 projections.
